Hi there! I'm Valerie 🌟

I am a Product designer currently based in Singapore.

 

Through my past working experiences in marketing, I saw myself leaning towards wanting to prioritise consumer needs more than hitting KPIs which led me to pursue product design with General Assembly through a UX bootcamp 👩🏻‍💻

With a passion for visual design and understanding how humans think, I am eager to solve real-world problems and craft experiences that meet users' needs and drive commercial success. My design ethos relates to universal design; the design of products to be usable by all people, to the greatest extent possible, without the need for adaptation or specialised design 🪐

What's next? With my next stint in mind, I am eager to up-skill and improve by continuing to practice design accessibility principles as well as apply data analytics in my design process. To do that, I have recently completed a data analytics course in the October 2023 batch with Vertical Institute to hit my learning goals. Moving forward, I am eager to discover the ways in which I can apply data to design and employ these skills in my next stint 🥅

Outside of work: When I'm not designing, I enjoy dabbling in artistic hobbies like digital art, painting and photography 🎨
